Vantiq Spring 2022 Release: New Platform Capabilities Accelerate the Creation and Deployment of Real-Time Applications

Vantiq today unveiled several new platform capabilities that enhance and simplify the creation of powerful, real-time business solutions. The Spring 2022 release introduces Service Builder, which significantly improves the organization and maintenance of complex application systems. This release also brings new server and user interface (UI) enhancements.

The new Service Builder feature serves as the platform’s central server development tool, enabling developers to easily view, manage, debug, and test all the resources associated with a Vantiq Service. As developers visually build out how incoming events will be processed, procedures managing both global and partitioned in-memory state automatically generate and appear as part of the Service. 

Service Builder introduces a menu of three modes, including:

1. An Interface tab, allowing developers to designate inbound and outbound events and procedure signatures; 
2. An Implement tab, which lets developers bring up the editor windows to add procedure logic and create event handlers; and
3. A Test tab accesses regression configurations for both unit and integrated tests. 

Other significant enhancements include VAIL built-in procedures, enhanced client widget properties, convenient project contents listings, launchable listing options, updated Kubernetes external lifecycle support for cluster deployment, and expanded component and assembly configurations.
