As VANTIQ’s Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Business Development, you will collaborate with the VANTIQ senior executive team and lead the development of effective go-to-market and overall corporate strategies. Reporting to industry veteran Blaine Mathieu, Chief Marketing and Product Officer, you will create and execute on a strategic plan that relies heavily on significant global partnerships. You will cultivate relationships at the highest levels of potential partners while inspiring confidence in VANTIQ’s vision and abilities. Once such partners are on board, you will work to maximize the benefits to both sides of the partnership.
In close collaboration with the VANTIQ executive team, lead the development of effective global and regional go-to-market and overall corporate strategy
Prioritize, construct and develop powerful relationships with significant strategic partners including cloud platforms, hardware providers, technology suppliers and other enterprises in spaces related to VANTIQ
Construct proposals and contracts that accurately reflect the goals of the partners while maximizing the opportunity for VANTIQ
Create models for VANTIQ business and operations that enable effective strategic decision making
Manage and evolve VANTIQ’s pricing/packaging model to ensure it optimizes market share and revenue growth
Partner with Product Management and Engineering to ensure that the long term, strategic roadmap takes advantage of overall direction and trends in the market
Lay the ground work for future investment and M&A discussions with strategic partners
At least 15 years of relevant strategy and business development experience
Very strong written and personal communication skills, confidently used in communicating to and negotiating with global executives at the highest levels
MBA or equivalent
Engineering/computer science degree and/or the technical background/training required to engage in deep discussions with current and potential technology partners
Proven competency in the use of commonly-used financial and strategic models, tools and approaches
Direct experience working with Chinese and Japanese companies a bonus
Proven experience in building and leading a strategic planning and business development team
Experience in B2B software technology markets
